Terms, DataSportAPI
TermsWhat you agree to by using the API, in plain words.
This website and the DataSportAPI service are operated by DeveloperData.net ("Developer Data", "we"), Empire Tower, 41st Floor, Unit 4106-7, South Sathorn Road, Yannawa, Sathorn, Bangkok 10120, Thailand. These terms are governed by the law of Thailand, and the courts of Bangkok have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Your account
One person or one business per account, with true details. You keep your password and API keys to yourself, and you are responsible for everything done with them, including calls made by somebody who found a key in your published source. Keep keys on your server, never in a page or an app.
Plans and billing
Plans are paid through Stripe, monthly or yearly, and renew until you cancel. A plan can cover one sport, several, or every sport on the service. What each plan reaches is on the pricing page and is enforced by the API.
A price change is announced before it applies, and only from your next period. The refund rules are on the refunds page. A purchase may be credited to the partner who referred you, through our partner programme. That never changes the price you pay.
Card charges appear as DEVELOPERDATA.NET. Billing questions: developerdata.net/support?tab=charge.
Fair use
Your plan's limits are the fair-use line: its rate limit and its call allowance. Getting around them is not allowed. That includes several free accounts for one person, sharing one key across separate businesses, rotating keys to reset a limit, and scraping the website in place of the API. We may slow, pause or close an account that does this.
The data: use it, do not replicate it
You may use what the service gives you in your own work, apps and sites, commercially, and show results to your own users. You may store it, transform it and publish analysis built on it.
You may not resell, redistribute or republish the data itself, in bulk or through an API or feed of your own. You may not download it in bulk to rebuild the database, or use it to build a competing product.
Acceptable use
Nothing unlawful. No probing or load-testing our systems without asking first. No attempts to reach another member's data. The full list is on the acceptable use page.
Accuracy
The data is given as it is, gathered with care, without a warranty that it is complete or free of mistakes. We correct mistakes when we find them. It is factual sports data: not financial or betting advice, and not a prediction, rating or tip. Decisions you make with it are yours.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running and show its state on the status page. We promise no uptime unless your plan says so.
Changes to the API
New fields and endpoints can appear at any time, and your client should tolerate them. Anything that could break a working integration is announced in the changelog before it takes effect.
Liability
Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits or lost data.
Suspension and closing
We can pause or close an account that breaks these terms, and a serious breach can be acted on without notice. An account closed for a breach is not refunded. You can close your account at any time from your account page; the privacy page says what happens then.
Changes to these terms
A new version is posted here with its date. A change that matters is emailed to members before it applies.
